Kludgey. The app you need to import your files (Book Generator) is useless. (It won't import from Google Drive at all.) You have to cut and paste between apps to actually build the book. The built-in cover page maker is also useless. Its user interface is awkward and there's no way to go back and edit components. Also, it won't actually save the ebook to your device when you export. So, can you actually make an ebook with this app? Nope.
Too basic, the app is only worthy to be free. It should not be in premium category. You have added the feature to add video, picture audio, but has not added any option to insert table, text box and background colour in the chapter.
Great app, but could improve on some things like throw away the ebook cover editor please, it sucks and is not needed, plus would be good if when adding images we could float image left or right so text can be next to it and not on bottom of image. Page breaks are bad. Epub created, then unzip to look, chapters numbered differently, but using epub is fine. Needs more tweaking, more options, add some things like sigil has, but still keep layout. Font size needs to go, ereaders use their own.
I read the description and it seemed that you could do a lot of editing and be creative with it, but it's pretty basic and costs $6.95. I would like a refund please this is useless for my needs.
7/3/2020 Updated review: CBB was totally re-designed from version 1.3 and is even easier to use than before. As a teacher and avid reader of ebooks , I find it extremely easy to take an article from the internet and within a few minutes, just plug it into CBB and create a reflowable epub book either for students to read on their phones, or for myself. Fantastic app -- very user friendly. Previous review: The negative reviews are way off base. For example, one reviewer compares this app to GrabMyBooks, which grabs web pages and converts them into books, whereas this app is a book creator --comparing apples to oranges. Still other one star critics give no useful information -- only negative comments with no details. As some of the positive reviewers have written, the developer is very responsive. I suggest that some of the whiners email him before, uhhh... whining.
I am changing my one star rating to FIVE. I was wrong, harsh, and unforgiving.
I bought it but I am facing a problem , this app. does not access to google drive or one drive to import my word files !!!!! Please make an update to solve this problem !!!! I made permission via settings but I faced the same problem !!!!!!!! No access to google drive and one drive !!!!
This used to be awesome and I was able to export my work to my e-mail but now you can't publish your ebook anymore. This happened to me twice now after wasting my time compiling and typing everything. I used to rate this app five stars for several years now but until they fix this problem it will remain a one star review.
It cannot export to .epub (or any other) format.
